Posts: 65 (07/10/03 21:03:30) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I know for a fact that NewEgg and GoogleGear have the revision 1.1A boards that include the 6-in-1 cardreader in the package. According to several people who've posted on other forums, it's up to the retailer as to whether or not the package includes it. I'm going by word of mouth here. The package includes the following: 1) L7S7A2 Mainboard, Revision 1.1A 2) 6-in-1 Cardreader 3) I/O back plate 4) 1 IDE cable (no FDD cable) 5) The Manual 6) Driver Disc AFAIK, there is no LAN version per se. All the boards come with the RJ-45 connection on the mainboard's I/O. Hope this helps.

You just load the drivers after installing your OS of choice (I do recommend a fresh OS install whenever installing a mobo). Hope that answers the question.

And guess what: The Cardreader was in the Case... :O))))))))) Happiest man on earth... Not that I'll need it, but...very cute to have anyway... It is connected through a 4pin-connector to a special usb-header in the case, which shares with one of the usb-ports on the back of the case (the one under the (not existing) firewire-port... BTW: Because of the cardreader ECS stopped to give a fdd-cable with the board! It had no floppy cable and I assumed it had been lost from the box prior to shipping. Ebuyer sent me one within a few days. I am running the board with an XP2500. I initially had some memtest errors with my PC2700 memory but now running memory at conservative settings and now no memtest errors.

The card reader corrupts the memory cards from my canon camera though. I thought maybe it was from erasing the old files off the card, but just reading the data from the card corrupts the card so the camera can't use it. It will xfer the files to the pc fine, but then I have to reformat the card on the camera, or using the floppy adapter. Right now I am running an XP1700 at XP2600 speed with no ill effects.

It has a dedicated header on the back of the board for it. I wanna see if there are a lot of probs with the card reader as I wanna install mine already. BTW, dropped my fsb to 166 and upped multi to 12 for 2ghz on the l7s. So far stable running. Had her running at almost 200 fsb before but for some reason got crashes after awhile. Anyone else experience dropping performance from their boards? stinky
