As many may know or don't know, the ECS-L7S7A2 is no longer available.
You can purchase the re-incarnated "castrated" version of the ECS-L7S7A2... It is the PCChips M848... MD |

Yes is is a good board , I have my ECS L7S7A2 retired at the moment after replacing it with a Epox EP-8RDA3+ mainly because I like the nforce 2 chipset .
 But I think I will replace my K7S5A 3.1 with the L7S7A2 , and it is handy to know the M848ALU is a very similar board . Can you remove the BIOS chip on that model or is it a fixture ? The M848 even cuts corners there, it appears to be surface mounted...
One board to investigate would be the SiS748 based ECS 748A, if by some strange positioning of the planets, moons & stars you find one, they appear to be the M848 in purple guise fully loaded like the L7S7A2.... MD |
