I have some serious problems with running games, i think the problem is my K7S5A motherboard.
The problem i am having is when i install a game it works fine but after i quit the game and try to play it hours later, it simply does not work i get a quick flash of the hour glass then nothing no cd rom or hdd activity.
The games i have tried are Neverwinter Nights, Rainbox Six 3: Raven Shield and Broken Sword 3 - all the same problem.
But the weird thing is if i apply a nocd crack the games will work, the after i quit again and try to play several hours later i have the same problem as before.
I have tried these games on other systems and they work fine.
My systems specs are:
K7S5A motherboard - flashed with in honeyx bios
AMD Athlon XP 1800+
256MB 266Mhz DDR RAM
80Gb Seagate HDD
Leadtek Winfast A340 TDH 128MB Video card
Running Windows XP Pro
I have updated all drivers for all devices in my PC.
Could there be an incompatibility with my hardware and winxp?
The only game that i have installed and still works is Baldurs Gate II - it always works - i think this problem is with newer games only.
If anyone can help me fix this problem it be greatly appreciated.
