k Here goes..I upgraded to the 2600 amd thorughbred. Had to upgrade the power voltage (got 500w) tried the chipset mod..the question is i have the k7s5a v1.0 when i took the orange blob as you guys called it off the chipset looked nothing like in the picture...it was like it still had a plastic cover over it..( I tried to pry it off thinking it was a cover, but did not try to force it) it was solid black and the orange thing was pasted to it...i never saw a shinny chip like the one in your instructions...im still getting an instability issue, seems like i cant multitask with out a program bailing on me. like editing in pinnacle studio 8. it takes up all the resources. I thought this comp would be faster.

chipset 735 with new cooling set(with fan
running 45C/55C CPU
and 22/27C case

another exhaust fan in rear
and AIW radeon 9600
did i do the right thing by sticking the cooling system on the black chipset or was i supposed to force the black plastic cover that looks like it surrounds the chip....I did it the way it was originally. could that be why i still get the dreaded blue screen of death. when I try to run video capture and another prog at the same time(not always, but on occasion).
PLEASE FORGIVE ME if that sounds ridicules but im a noobie at this and trying to learn...
