well, is it possible to change agp4x to agp8x with some sort of simple mod or tweak?
if not, i gotta get rid of my motherboard and get a new one, and if i do that, i guess i'll go with pci-e |

Don't think so...It's probably more than likely something that is implemented by the chipset...Besides there is little difference performance wise between 4x & 8x...

if you elect to go with pci-e, you'll be upgrading a lot more than just your motherboard.

yeah, thanks guys,...i like playing Joint Operations...but the screen gets choppy...right now i am running a 8x agp card on this 4x board...the current agp card has 128MB DDR on it, would I see a difference in graphics if i replace it with a 8x that has 256MB DDR on it? or will they both perform the same due to the fact that they are limited to 4x?

well, i went ahead and bought a FX5500 OC w/256MB DDR (AGP8X) and plan on getting www.amdboard.com/ecs_af1.html to go with it...sooooo, does anyone want to buy a K7S5A???
