XP Home SP2, 12 gig HD but will get 80gig if possible. I bought this PC the other day for 2.00 off a Carboot! Reformatted the drive and installed spare XP brand new. The CPU and Memory in Bios says 100/100 CPU running at 1311.68. I have changed this to 100/133, the speed drops slightly. The Multiplier is stuck at 13X. Is there room for improvement? As i have a spare Sempron 2500 which i have not tried yet. Thanks for the help and advice. Oh I'm new to overclocking!

You'll find a link in the Important Posts section at the top of the page. Also read the 'Unofficial guide to K7S5A' and you'll see that this mobo does not like 'uneven' FSB setting... keep 100/100 or 133/133... As for the Sempron, since it's FSB 166/166, it's going to work, but not at top speed... it's gonna act more like 1800+, unless you overclock (and are lucky enough to make it up to 166/166) JP

Posts: 4 (04/03/08 14:55:34) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I have a 2500+. I'm running at 147/147 nicely. At 150/150 it starts squealing and 166/166 doesn't boot at all. The board sees it as a 1100 with 100FSB and as a 1700 with 133FSB.
