Hi,
my K7S5A cant remember the installed processor-type. It works with a 2600+ and if i switch off the PC, it starts as a Duron 1400 on the next morning. I changed the little battery on the board, but the problem still exists. Greets Ulli |

did you check the capacitors on the motherboard and in the power supply...

Your BIOS is reset every time you change your battery, along with the FSB. Put the FSB back up, and your speed will return to its normal self.
