I have recently purchased a mobile athlon 2500+ cpu. Using speedfan software i have it overclocked to 2053 mhz. surfing internet, general use temps are 42
degrees C.

watching divx or rendering video temps go upto 52 degrees C.

what I would like to know are these temps about normal/average?

My previous config was an Athlon XP 1600+ Palamino (10.5x CPU multipler),  overclocked to 150MHz on the FSB, using SetFSB and the standard ECS BIOS.  Two 256MB PC2700 DDR DRAMS running 150Mhz x 2. I have the chipset mod with a fan on the chipset as well.  This configuration ran very well for years, however the Palamino was running a little on the hot side, around 46C or so idleing, and I was wanting more performance... ]]></description>
