			<description><![CDATA[ I recently updated my bios to 031108. Because my machine stopped recognizing my amd 2400+ processor. Now when it boots it beeps once and stops at checking
NVRAM. It aslo wont allow me to hit esc to stop checking ram. I originally had 2 sticks of 512 mb ram pc2700, I went to 1 stick of 1gb pc2700 ram. No change. I
went back to my original adm 1100 processor. No dice. My sytem as it sits is;

I have a k7s5a Ver 1.x.  Today I got an Athlon XP 2000 in the mail. I upgraded the bios using HoneyX and booted up, everything worked fine. I did notice one of
the pins was bent on the new CPU, so I bent it back upright. I then replaced my old Athlon with this one, applied the thermal compound, and put the heatsink

(both 8x agp cards)I have tried all driver available no luck.I have also tried ATI Agp 9250 (8x agp)with drivers the card installs  no 3d Graphics I had to go

Ive just dusted down my old but reliable PC and purchased some RAM.

Kingston DDR-RAM 1GB CL2.5 333MHZ PC2700,

I know that I can only use 266MHZ but I understand that RAM is backward compatible.
<br>
I also believe that the max for this MB is 1 GB of RAM so I removed the 128MB Infineon SDRAM and slot the 1GB stick in.

Now when I try to power her up I get nothing no lights, no fan, nothing, I swap the ram about... ]]></description>

and it&#39;s very slow; i&#39;m using a live cd linux knoppix; is the some command like:

sudo install viagra on cpu, and it runs at 2000Mhz.

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;m trying to get an Athlon MP 1800+ running at it&#39;s rated 1.6Ghz but when I change the bus speed to 133/133 it won&#39;t post. It&#39;ll run at the
100/100 setting but then it&#39;s only going 1150 Mhz. I&#39;ve had an Athlon MP 1600+ running at 133/133 just fine. If I have to knock the RAM speed down to
100 (it&#39;s PC2700) then it&#39;s not what I&#39;d call an &#39;upgrade&#39;.

I was using the onboard sound of my K7S5A, when i had to mess on  the cables that connects the output to the speakers, but i accidentaly touched the tip of the
plugs and i was barefoot, then i felt a weak shock.

I didnt cared about the shock so i pluged in the speakers normally, but for my suprise, i didnt got sound anymore..... only a low humming.
<br>
The board still works properly, it boots, reboots normally with no problem.

Bought a 2400+ XP, Thorton Core on ebay, first: No Post at all.

After putting some new thermo-paste on the processor -&gt; Boots as 2400 mhz duron (wtf?)

that means 24x100Mhz=2400! way too high multiplier...i dont know why.

anyway, PC stopped after recognizing IDE drives. it really drove me nuts!

tried all bioses, cleaned the board and the cpu... didnt help.

Raised. So I had to turn it off, after then I had try several cooling software for my K7s5a pro with XP-M 2800+, only the CPUIDLE could work, But at the same
